hybrid was formed in tokyo in 2001 by andrew thomas and rumi takahashi,
with the aim of connecting creativity from japan with international partners,
commissioning clients and audiences across the globe.

hybrid by name, hybrid by nature, we work across time+space, borders+cultures,
in collaboration with artists+companies who share a creative+hybrid vision.

hybrid exists somewhere in the spaces between production company, boutique studio
and agency, working on our own art projects and for clients in film, advertising,
animation, design, publishing, coordination, translation, distribution and promotion.

we work from our studio+gallery in tokyo, though think+feel+act internationally.
